Election 2018
The next General Local Election will take place on Saturday, October 20, 2018, when one Mayor and six Councillors will be elected for a four-year term. In addition, five School District Trustee positions will be elected to School District 47.

Candidate Information
Nomination packages for Mayor, Councillor and School Board Trustee are now available for pick up at City Hall, 6910 Duncan Street, Powell River.
The final day to challenge a nomination is Tuesday, September 18; and the final day for a candidate to withdraw from the election is Friday, September 21.
A Candidates List will be posted to this webpage as soon as nominations are received.
Please call City Hall to make an appointment to file nomination documents. From the time of receipt, nomination documents are available for public inspection at City Hall.
Candidates must file nomination papers with the Chief Election Officer or designate at City Hall during the Nomination Period from 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4 until 4:00 p.m. Friday September 14, 2018.
