MISSION STATEMENT: Powell River Parks, Recreation & Culture Department strives to enhance the quality of life for all citizens through: *facilitation of recreation services  *providing and maintaining parks and green space *supporting arts and culture in a positive, healthy and equitable manner GOALS: Provide leisure services to further growth and development of the community. The Parks, Recreation and Culture department should positively connect local residents to the community by fostering a sense of: *Community Identity – feeling part of the community *Community Spirit & Pride – feeling good about being part of the community *Community Culture – unique and distinguishing community characteristics or attributes Provide leisure services to further growth and development of the individual.
