BUSINESS LICENCES Business Licences are regulated by the City of Powell River Business Licence Bylaw. Every business owner or operator doing business in the City of Powell River must obtain a Business Licence. This includes non-resident business owners or operators whose premises are located outside of the City but who travel (or have their employees travel) to Powell River to conduct business. Home based businesses are a special category regulated by the Zoning Bylaw and require a Business Licence. A home based business is meant to be a smaller business venture that does not operate at such a capacity as to require a commercial premises.
