Athletic Track
City of Powell River

The City of Powell River is proceeding with the construction of a new athletic track at the Recreation Complex.  Site clearing commences 15 June 2010 for approximately 3 days.  Powell River Community Forest Ltd is managing this work.  Once the clearing is complete, stumps will be removed and all slash will be chipped and left on site.   It is intended to keep the pathway at the south end of the property but while the work is being carried out, the area is closed.  The City has engaged the engineering firm, R.F. Binnie and Associates Ltd. to undertake the design work for the project.  Bill Reid, Director of Parks, Recreation and Culture is the City's project manager.
